Destination Overview

The lodge was founded by John Pehrson and Randy Berry  in 1970.  They purchased Teton River Lodge, previously Alma’s Lodge, in 1973, renamed it Teton Valley Lodge, and owned it together until 2003. Under the ownership of John and Randy, the lodge continued the legacy and tradition of Alma Kunz and became the finest fly fishing float trip full service lodge in North America.

Fishing Program
Our Great-Grandfather started guiding in 1919 and We pride ourselves on the service and high caliber of our fly fishing lodge and dining facilities. We look forward to sharing with you an experience of great lodging, fantastic fly fishing, and breathtaking scenery. This Idaho fly fishing lodge has been family owned and operated for four generations.
On your Idaho fly fishing trip with Teton Valley Lodge, expect to fly fish on a different stretch of river every day. With over 25 different sections of river fishing on three blue ribbon fisheries near Driggs Idaho, there are years of discovery awaiting even the most experienced fly fishermen. Experience Teton Valley Idaho, just 30 minutes from Jackson Hole, Tetons and the Snake River. At six thousand feet above sea-level, Henry’s Fork flows out of a spring created by volcanic activity more than a millennium ago. The South Fork of the Snake is insanely gorgeous with enough trout to fill any fly fisherman’s net. The Teton has so many different types of water, from spring creek to rushing rapids.

All guides are accomplished fly fishermen/women, excellent instructors and experienced boat captains who work hard to make your experience productive and FUN!

Rods: Recommended to bring 2 rods - 5wt or 6wt

Terminal Tackle-including Flies: Supplied by guides

Clothing: Rain Coat, hat, layered clothing.  Mornings can be chilly depending on season

Accommodations

The main facility houses a large dining hall along with a comfortable lounge equipped with beer on tap and TV. The guest cabins range in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms. Each is furnished with two queen beds and private bathrooms. The 2 and 3 bedroom cabins also include relaxing sitting rooms. Each cabin at our Idaho fly fishing lodge is outfitted with a mini bar stocked daily with complimentary beer, soda, and coffee.

Dining

You will savor rich breakfasts and four-course dinners served in the dining room in a family-style manner. A dining room environment is a great place to share stories of the day’s conquests and to build and cultivate friendships, new and old. Also available in the dining room are cold local microbrews on tap, and an excellent wine list provided at dinner.

 

Included

All-inclusive rates include meals, lodging, guide service, flies, leaders, terminal tackle, transportation to and from rivers, soft drinks, beer and wine, and all applicable taxes. Our guides carry with them all available tackle and a complete selection of our entire inventory including our custom fly patterns.
