MORRISON'S ROGUE WILDERNESS ADVENTURES & RIVER LODGE
Destination Overview

Southern Oregon's premier rafting & fly fishing resort is located on the Rogue River in one of the most beautiful settings you will find anywhere. The amazing fishing on the Rogue was discovered by Zane Gray and other outdoor journalists during the first half of the 20th Century. Over the years several of our staff have been guests of the lodge and rate Morrisson's as one of the best overall experiences in Pacific Northwest Steelhead and Salmon fishing.

Originally built as a fishing lodge in 1946, Morrison's offers some of the finest steelhead fly fishing in the Northwest. Morrisson’s is set in a breathtaking canyon on the renowned Rogue River just outside of Grants Pass in Southern Oregon. It is a timeless place of exceptional beauty and an escape from the ordinary. This is the region’s oldest and most established full service fishing lodge.

Family hospitality and exemplary service combine with fine dining and spectacular scenery to make Morrison's a destination resort of choice. Morrison’s is the only Orvis endorsed fishing lodge on the Rogue River. With tasteful accommodations overlooking the river, fine dining and daily guided drift boat & wading trips targeting adult and “half-pounder" steelhead, Morrison’s remains the region’s classic fall steelheading destination.

Morrison’s Rogue Wilderness Adventures & Lodge is located 16 miles downstream from Grants Pass along the banks of the famed Rogue River. The historic log lodge and individual cabins—half-hidden by groves of evergreen, maple, and oak—are a peaceful refuge from the hectic, everyday world.

Fishing Program

Steelhead fishing had been the main attraction on the Rogue for many decades. In fact, in the mid-1920s, famed Western author Zane Grey was enamored with the “half-pounders” that are unique to this part of the world. Half-pounders are immature steelhead that have gone to the ocean and return to the river before reaching adult size. They are tenacious fish that fight hard, and are found only on three rivers in the entire United States: The Eel, the Klamath, and the Rogue.

The Rogue, designated a Wild and Scenic Rogue River in 1968, is known worldwide as one of the most incredible places to fish for steelhead and salmon. Morrison’s Rogue Wilderness Adventures & Lodge offers multi-day lodge to lodge fishing trips in the Rogue River canyon. The multi-day fly fishing packages are based at Morrison’s Lodge and will give you expert fly fishing instruction.

Morrison’s fishing guides are experts in their field and are highly trained and enthusiastic about helping you catch fish. This is an opportunity to learn to fly fish from the best anglers on the Rogue River. If you don’t have your own equipment, the lodge will be happy to provide you what you need.

Accommodations

The historic Morrison’s Lodge was built in 1945 of local materials in the classic northwest rustic fishing lodge style. The lodge was originally built by fishing and hunting guide Lloyd Morrison as a place for his guiding clients to stay. Over the years the lodge’s increasing number of guests have been accommodated by the addition several cabins.

21 rooms are now available between the cabins, and the main lodge.  Rooms vary by size and are allocated according to the size of the group.  All rooms are heated and air conditioned and some cabins have a fireplace and decks where you can kick back after a day of fishing and just enjoy the peaceful ambience of the surrounding forest.   Alcoholic beverages are available at the bar located in the main lodge.

Mealtime is a special time at Morrison’s as the day starts with a sumptuous breakfast in the main lodge dining room.  Lunch is served by your guide while on the river and in the evening you will be served a 4-course gourmet dinner.  Our menu is on a 6 day rotation, and special dietary needs are happily accommodated.
