Destination Overview
Boardwalk Lodge is located in the lush rainforest of Prince of Wales Island, just 35 minutes from Ketchikan in Southeast Alaska.

The native Alaska fishing opportunities include:
Silver Fishing (Coho)
Pink Salmon Fishing (Humpies)
Chum Salmon Fishing (Dog Salmon)
Sockeye Salmon Fishing (Red Salmon)
Note that all fly fishing equipment, including rods, reels, flies, waders, and boots are all part of your lodge package at no additional cost. Likewise, the lodge provides wet weather gear for saltwater fishing.

Getting There
Alaska’s Boardwalk Lodge is located on Thorne Bay in Southeast Alaska. Guests traveling outside Alaska, in the Continental United States, will typically fly to Seattle’s SeaTac airport, take a 90-minute Alaska Airlines flight to Ketchikan, then a breathtakingly beautiful 33-minute float plane ride from Ketchikan directly to Boardwalk’s dock.
NOTE: You will need to arrive in Ketchikan by 5:00 PM to reach the lodge that evening. Recommended arrival flights are Alaska Airlines #173 and #67. Early morning departures are discouraged (specifically AA flight #60) due to possible fog delays.
For those looking for a different travel experience, ferry service is available between Ketchikan and Hollis on Prince of Wales Island. Guests who chose this option for their last leg of travel can arrange to have Boardwalk staff meet them at the dock in Hollis, Alaska.
Private and corporate aircraft can fly into Klawock, Alaska (45 min. drive) and tie downs are available free of charge. Boardwalk has partnered with Independent Jets for groups who want on-demand private jet charter at exceptional rates. Call ahead and the lodge staff will meet you on the tarmac.
