ARCTIC GRAYLING

Most fly fishermen who travel to the rustic locations in Canada and Alaska don’t give Arctic Grayling a second thought, though once they experience catching them on a dry fly they marvel how catching them is one of the most entertaining experiences that they have.

Grayling average 10 to 14 inches with trophies measuring 21 inches and weighing 4 pounds. Their reputation as a sports fish is in their susceptibility to dry flies and the gracefulness with which they take them.

Lodges where you can find them: Alaska Fish and FloatReel Action Camps, Egdorf’s Nushagak Camp, Royal Coachman Lodge, Iliamna River Lodge, Rainbow River Lodge.
